Arrive at Srinagar and meet your BookKashmir representative. Transfer to your hotel or houseboat for refresh and short rest. In the late afternoon, we take a brief orientation walk around Dal Lake and its waterfront markets to acclimate you to local time and altitude. Enjoy a welcome briefing from our guides that outlines safety procedures, weather windows, and expected conditions on the slopes. In the evening, enjoy a Kashmiri-style dinner with local flavors and a chance to meet other travelers in your group. Rest early for the active days ahead.
After an early breakfast, we drive to Gulmarg (approx 1.5–2 hours). The group will be fitted with skiing gear managed by BookKashmir’s partner vendors. We take the Gondola (Phase 1 & Phase 2) to reach Kongdori and Apharwat. On arrival, certified instructors run a half-day beginner session focusing on stance, braking, and basic turns. Safety briefings, slope etiquette, and warm-up drills are included. If weather is favorable, enjoy optional snow-sledging and short guided photography stops capturing dramatic mountain vistas. Return to the lodge for a warm dinner and an optional debrief around a campfire.
A full day on the slopes for progression and guided runs. For intermediate riders, we arrange varied trail loops; for beginners, continued coaching and confidence-building exercises. A midday slope-side picnic is organized when weather permits, with thermos meals and hot beverages. The afternoon includes a focused photography session during golden hour led by a local photographer recommended by BookKashmir — perfect for capturing alpine panoramas. Return in the evening for a cultural mini-event: local music or a cooking demonstration showcasing Wazwan-style dishes.
Wrap up your winter adventure with a relaxed morning; optional short village walks or souvenir shopping. After checkout, transfer back to Srinagar Airport for departure.
